SkyHopper
Privacy policy
Effective 8 September 2026
Gorilla Studios develops SkyHopper. This policy explains how information is handled when you play the game or contact us. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Gorilla Studios.

1. The essentials
SkyHopper is intended for teenagers aged 13 and older and adults. You can play without creating a SkyHopper account. The game does not ask for or verify your age and does not create an age profile. Game progress is saved on your device, not uploaded to a Gorilla Studios server. Daily missions and achievements are local features, not public online leaderboards.
On Android, the game integrates Google AdMob for optional rewarded ads, Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for privacy choices, and Google Play Billing for the Supporter Pack. These services involve processing by Google. The Windows version does not include these advertising or purchasing services.
Test versions may show Google demo ads and have purchases disabled. Demo ads are not a promise that no information is processed by Google.
2. Information saved on your device
The game stores progress, scores, cells, upgrades, relics, ship choices, settings, mission and achievement progress, and reward-claim limits. It keeps a local recovery copy of progress for interrupted saves.
On Android, UMP stores privacy-choice information. The game stores a verified Google Play receipt and signature to remember Supporter ownership offline. Receipts can include the product, order identifier, purchase token, purchase time and purchase status.
We do not operate a game-account database, cloud-save service or separate game analytics service. The game does not ask for your camera, microphone, contacts or precise GPS location.
3. Optional advertising and privacy choices
Rewarded ads are requested only after you explicitly choose and confirm one. They can provide a relic reroll, a revival or bonus cells. Declining an ad does not prevent ordinary play. Supporter owners can claim the same capped rewards without ads.
Google Mobile Ads can process your IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device or account identifiers permitted by the restricted ad mode, app/ad interactions, and performance diagnostics for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. SkyHopper removes Android advertising-ID permissions and configures restricted data treatment to prevent transmission of the Android advertising identifier. This does not mean that Google receives no data. Google states that this SDK’s transmitted user data is encrypted using TLS. See its Mobile Ads data disclosure.
UMP contacts Google at startup to check privacy requirements, even before you choose an ad. Because actual ages are unknown, SkyHopper configures UMP with under-age-of-consent treatment and does not ask players to authorize personalized ads. Ad Privacy Options on the main menu explains the current restrictions or opens an available Google privacy form. Ads are requested only when the SDK permits them.
Ads are capped at Google’s T (Teen) content label. Personalization and remarketing are disabled through restrictive ad-request settings for every player. The game retains Google’s CHILD data-treatment setting for unknown actual ages, independently of its 13+ intended audience. Google may consequently apply stricter content filtering or make ads unavailable. T is a maximum, not a promise that every ad has that rating. Choosing to watch an ad does not authorize personalized advertising.
You can also use Android’s advertising-ID controls and Google My Ad Center. Read how Google uses information from apps using its services. Buying the Supporter Pack stops in-game ad requests, but not Google Play purchase checks or UMP’s startup privacy check.
4. Purchases
Where available, the Supporter Pack is an optional one-time purchase through Google Play. Google handles payment and associated account and billing information. The game does not ask for or receive your full card number or card security code.
The game receives purchase information to verify, acknowledge and restore ownership. It checks existing purchases when connecting to Google Play, including on launch or resume. Verification occurs on your device, not a Gorilla Studios server. Google Play may separately make order information available to the developer for purchase support and administration.
5. Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you include in your message. We use this to respond, resolve disputes and meet applicable obligations. Do not send passwords, card details or unnecessary personal information.
Your email provider and the provider hosting our mailbox process messages under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Recipients and international processing
Google processes information for ads, consent and purchases. Our email provider processes correspondence. Advertising recipients depend on the service and partners disclosed in privacy choices. Disclosure to authorities or professional advisers may be needed for legal obligations or disputes.
Providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Google describes adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses in its data-transfer safeguards. Consult providers’ notices for their safeguards and contact options.
Read the Google Privacy Policy for its processing practices. The game does not send local progress saves to these providers.
7. Why information is processed
Where European data-protection rules apply, relevant grounds are consent for advertising purposes and device storage where required; providing a requested service or purchase; legitimate interests in support, security and fraud prevention; and applicable legal obligations.
Consent may be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. Google’s purposes and grounds appear in its notices and applicable consent choices. Gameplay requires neither a SkyHopper account nor permission for personalized ads. Optional purchase verification and support need the information necessary to provide them.
8. Retention, deletion and security
Local progress remains until overwritten or removed from your device. On Android, clear SkyHopper’s storage in the system’s app settings, or uninstall it. This removes local progress, recovery saves, consent records and cached receipts. Gorilla Studios has no cloud copy to restore lost progress.
This does not cancel a Play purchase or erase records already held by Google. Ownership can be restored through Play using the purchasing account. Use Google’s privacy and account tools for records it holds.
Support correspondence is retained as needed to address requests, follow up, resolve disputes or meet record-keeping duties. Those needs determine retention. Providers apply their own retention rules to their records.
Android receipts are held in private app storage and standard Android app backup is disabled. These measures do not guarantee protection on a compromised device. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. Contact us above. Proportionate identity checks may be needed; we cannot remotely retrieve a local save from your device.
You may complain to your local data-protection authority. Google and the relevant email service provider explain how to exercise rights concerning information they process independently. You may still contact us.
10. Intended audience and younger players
SkyHopper is intended for teenagers aged 13 and older and adults. No age or birthday question is presented. Teenagers can still be below the age of digital consent under local law, so the game retains restrictive ad-data treatment for everyone rather than assuming all players can consent.
An intended-age label is not parental consent. We assess requirements for younger players and countries where teenagers receive additional protection.
A parent or guardian may contact [email protected] about information they believe has been provided by a child.
11. Policy changes
We will update this policy when practices change and revise the date above. Where required, material changes will be communicated in the game or through a renewed consent request.
